What's Coming for Macsi Digital in 2025

2025 is shaping up to be another exciting year for Macsi Digital, and we’re already rolling out plans we’re excited to share!

🤝 Client Work & New Opportunities

Client work continues to be a core part of what we do at Macsi Digital. We’ve had the privilege of working with some fantastic organisations across healthcare, publishing, finance, events, and more — helping them build reliable, modern web applications that solve real problems.

As we move through 2025, we're actively looking to take on new and interesting projects. Whether you're a startup with an MVP idea, a growing business in need of custom systems, or an established organisation looking to modernise your tech stack — we’d love to hear from you.

We specialise in Laravel-based solutions, intuitive admin panels (shoutout to Filament), and pragmatic development that prioritises usability, performance, and maintainability.

📦 Open Source

In 2024, we had almost no time to contribute to our open source packages. While many of them were well-used in previous years, maintenance has been difficult to keep up with — so we’ll be archiving several of them in 2025.

However, we’re not stepping away entirely. Some packages are worth revisiting. In particular, our Laravel Zoom package (installed ~500,000 times) is getting a complete rebuild. This new version will use Saloon as the connection layer, and we’ll create a new data layer to handle model implementations.

Where this leads is still to be seen — but building SDKs may well be in our future.

☁️ Laravel Cloud

We’re diving into Laravel Cloud this year. We'll be migrating several existing apps and launching new applications that will be deployed directly to Cloud.

That said, not everything will move away from Forge — sometimes, running on a VPS is still the best choice. But we’re eager to see how Laravel Cloud handles production workloads and what improvements the team brings over the course of the year.

🛒 E-Commerce Solution

We've built custom e-commerce solutions for various clients over the years. But one thing we've always wanted was a more plug-and-play offering — something flexible enough to feel custom-built, but faster to deploy.

That’s why in 2025, we’re aiming to launch our own e-commerce solution. We've already onboarded our first pilot client — an events venue offering food orders — and we’re excited to expand from there.

🤖 AI Product

Our experience with AI has been limited so far — we've integrated it into a few client projects, but never built something AI-first.

That’s about to change.

In 2025, we’ll be launching an AI-powered product. It's a test project in some ways, but it's also something we would personally use — so we’re building it for public release as a subscription-based tool.

If all goes well, we'll explore mobile and desktop versions too.

⚛️ React and Vue

A few years ago, we were strong advocates of Vue and used it extensively with Laravel. But then Livewire arrived — and it changed everything. For the last 3+ years, most of our reactive UI work has been done with Livewire, including our Filament-based admin panels.

Meanwhile, the JavaScript ecosystem has evolved rapidly. Tools like Vite, and modern versions of Vue and React, offer powerful features — but we need to brush up.

2025 will be a year of re-skilling in these frameworks, especially as we expand into mobile and desktop app development.

📱 Desktop & Mobile Applications

We’ve built iOS and Android apps in the past — some of which are still live in the app stores today.

But the mobile and desktop space has moved on massively. In 2025, we’re exploring newer tech stacks for building cross-platform apps. We’ve already built some strong proof-of-concept projects this year, but we're confident that refreshing our React and Vue knowledge will take us even further.

We're stepping into 2025 with fresh goals, renewed focus, and the same commitment to building thoughtful, future-ready digital products.

From Laravel Cloud to AI tools, from open source to mobile apps — we’ve got an ambitious roadmap. We’re excited to keep pushing forward.
